The morning passed in a blur as I followed my morning routine. Today would be the start of tutoring and I was excited for the distraction. As I drove into the school's parking lot, I noticed Joshua's van. My heart thundered in my chest. Not the type of thunder that makes you happy and light but rather heavy and sad. My breathing hitched and a wave of nausea hit me. I parked my car in the first available spot and lay my head gently on the steering wheel, taking deep breaths to calm myself. A knock on my window had me looking up. It was Zara. I loosened my seatbelt and opened the door. "Everything all right?" She asked concerned. I smile slipping into my mask. "Yup. Everything is fine, I just got to bed late." "If you say so but you know I'm here if you need to talk." I smile but remain sile
