Chapter 8
Once they hit the town limits, it took another half-hour to find her dad, who had been frantically looking for her. The streets were thankfully still fairly deserted, and the city weathered the storm without a scratch. Though she felt like hell, the introduction of her two-headed vehicle would be a shock, to say the least. She wanted to have fun with it. So, Ken circled around the block, forcing the worn-out animal to do as she wanted for the time being.
She could imagine her dad hearing the hooves clopping along on asphalt. Looking around confused. Wondering if a stray horse had escaped from a farm.
