It took two hours to gently clean Dakota up and get him some fresh clothes. He seemed embarrassed through much of the process, since it involved hands-on scrubbing, acknowledgment that he’d been covered in filth for days, and small amounts of nudity. Ken didn’t care about all that, though. She only wanted to make certain he didn’t die of infection or blood loss. So, the rags came off and were quickly thrown away, and a warm shower with low water pressure was administered as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Though Yuuki made herself scarce, she performed a quick run to the truck to retrieve some of Dakota’s clothes. Loose fitting, soft cotton. She gave an unexplained glare to Ken as she passed the garments over but said nothing. Kenna decided to ask her about it later.
