We arrive at the restaurant situated on the top floor of a skyscraper a few minutes later. As we ride up with the elevator, my phone vibrates again, having me wanting to jump out of my skin. I concentrate on the rising numbers while I press my phone to my leg, preventing me from looking at it.
After getting out of the elevator, a pretty host dressed elegantly shows us to our table and I take my seat in silence as my mother is chatting with my siblings. As they continue chatting along while eating, I give in to my itching sensation and glance at the screen, only to unlock another wave of anxiety.
