Hearing what Samuel said about his being fortunate to be in Chief Williams's house, got him thinking as it dawned on him that he has indeed been fortunate. Had it been he was hit by a hit-and-run driver or a poor man, the story could have been different. Perhaps he could have been dead by now and his corpse could have been lying in a cold grave without his family's knowledge. Thank goodness, fate has been kind to him.
