When we got inside his car, Gavin heaved a deep sigh.
"Why are you so nervous?" Gavin turned to me with a look of annoyance.
I was stunned, and speechless. I couldn't believe that he was asking me like that.
"Who wouldn't be nervous? What if she recognized me? Then she tries to get back at me for what I did? For sure, her relatives and friends would help her deal with me! She had everything, and it would be too easy for her to deal with someone like me. She could ruin me at any moment. But compared to her, I'm just nothing and alone. No one would help me!"
