Kane's POV
When I asked Nora and Ezekiel to stay back and cover for me at the pack, I was half expecting them to do otherwise. Seeing Ezekiel fighting off rogues some distance away doesn't surprise me at all. He's my beta after all, he is hard-wired to always stand beside me.
I fight my way through the crowd of rogues and get into the house. The noise coming from the floor above quickly catches my attention.
Moving up there, I hope the sound isn't coming from Cecile's room. Sadly it is. What I see in the room is far from anything I would've imagined.
