Chapter 19: The Confrontation
Ethan's eyes blazed with anger as he stormed into the room. "Ramona, what are you doing?" he demanded.
Ramona smirked, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Just telling Alex the truth, Ethan. Something you've been trying to hide."
Alex's mind reeled as she tried to process Ramona's words. "What truth?" she asked, her voice shaking.
Ethan turned to Alex, his expression softening. "Alex, don't listen to her. She's just trying to manipulate you."
But Ramona interrupted, her voice dripping with venom. "Tell her, Ethan. Tell her what she really is."
The room fell silent, with Ethan and Ramona locked in a fierce stare-down. Alex felt like she was caught in the middle of a war, with no idea what was at stake.
Suddenly, the door burst open again, and Taylor rushed in, her eyes wide with worry. "Alex, what's going on?"
Alex hesitated, unsure of what to say. But before she could answer, Ramona spoke up, her voice dripping with malice.
"Ask Ethan, Taylor. Ask him what Alex really is."
Chapter 20: The Secret
Taylor's eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed on Ethan. "What's going on, Ethan? What's Ramona talking about?"
Ethan hesitated, his eyes darting between Taylor and Alex. "It's complicated, Taylor. Just trust me, okay?"
But Taylor's expression turned stubborn. "No, Ethan. I want to know what's going on. What's Alex really?"
Ramona snorted, her eyes glinting with triumph. "Oh, Ethan. You can't keep it a secret forever."
Ethan's face twisted in frustration, but before he could speak, Ariana appeared in the doorway, her eyes shining with an otherworldly intensity.
"Enough," Ariana said, her voice commanding attention. "The truth will come out, but not here. Not now."
With that, Ariana swept into the room, her presence drawing everyone's attention. Alex felt a shiver run down her spine as Ariana's eyes locked onto hers.
"Come, Alex," Ariana said, her voice low and mysterious. "It's time you knew the truth."
