That night I took care of Carlos by myself without the help of his nanny. His glossy eyes told me he was withholding tears and Knowing I was the cause of it pained my heart.

"Mummy will you be here when I wake up?" He asked after I'd tucked him in. He smelt of lemon and lime. Yeah I made sure my kids have the best but am scared of something. The press.

They're gonna seek every possible way for me to speak about my kids and that's not gonna be easy. "Of course my prince,of course." I replied, kissing his cheeks before switching off the light.

I left the bedside lamp on and whispered an "I love you." Before walking out.

The smell of drugs welcomed me the minute I walked into her bedroom. The beeping sound from the monitor filled the quiet room as I walked slowly to the bed.

I Know I've been a bad mom,an unforgiving mom but if this is how fate wanna repay me then I'd rather give up my wealth. I'll rather be poor than leaving without my babies.

Tears rolled out of my eyes onto the bed, touching her hands as I sobbed. The doctors had told me that her heart has a hole and may become larger if care is not taken.

Carlos was born cripple and Clarita with a heart defect. After spending some minutes there,I walked out of her bedroom, closing the door lightly.

I've made up my mind, I'll transfer my kids to my birth home. Unnoticed!

"I really hate this idea mom. I don't think you should call the wedding off." I said, sipping my lime juice as Aunt Gabrielle walked in. "Aunt, mom's trying to call the wedding off. Let's have hope, he'll be back." I whispered, looking into her eyes.

"Come on Sylvia. Albert is not dead. He's gonna come back alive." Aunt Gabrielle assured, wrapping her arms around mom as I smiled.

"Okay,let's wait for some months. Nicky's such a sweetheart." She whispered the last part as I smiled again.

"Ma'am the guards are here." A maid informed me as I typed on my laptop. Am already making preparation for my babies bedrooms.

I want it to be top notched and beautiful. "Alright. I'll be right there." I replied and got up.

Six hefty men stood before me,all in black. "Am miss Bruce and of course your boss for how long you choose to work for me and I demand respect." I stated, looking from one to the other.

"I need full protection for my kids,can I get that from you all?" I asked, walking from one feet to the other. "Yes boss!" They chorused and I smiled.

"Good, get the kids." I ordered and walked up the stairs. It's time to over come the demon I call my past.

"It's all set. I must get my pay as at when due." The masked guy said sternly, looking into my eyes. "Of course Lex replied, turning to look at me as I smirked.

"Don't mess the plan up. Stay focused." I repeated and got into my car. "Do your job well and the wealth will be yours." I whispered the last part as my car took off.

Let the mission roll out. The only thing is that he's gonna end six feet under the ground just like his brother.

"It's been a long day. You may go to bed." I said to the nanny as she smiled and walked away. The guards were already stationed in front of the kids bedroom so I had a little peace of mind but not for long cause the doorbell juggled.

I checked the wall clock and noticed it was pretty late so who could that be? I walked slowly to the door and peeped from a hole as a gasp left my mouth.

I threw the door open and Albert stood, looking tired, hungry and dirty. His eyes were deeper than normal and he looked like he'd pass out any time from now.

My lips trembled as tears glistened my eyes. I stretched my hands forward to touch him. To feel him,to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.

"Albert." I almost screamed and embraced him. "What happened? What happened to you? Who did this to you?" I threw these questions at him.

"Am fine now Nick that's all that matters." His hoarse voice rang into my ears. I led him into the house, making sure he sits down before going into the kitchen.

Gosh. I can't believe Albert is alive and well. My wedding is going to push through. Am gonna be a happy woman. A sure smile grew on my face, pushing all the sorrow away.

I looked around the familiar home. The place where many of our memories lay. She walked out of the kitchen with a tray in her hands and I didn't need a priest to tell me it was a bowl of noodles.

Yeah noodles are my favorite. She set the bowl before me and proceeded to take off my shirt. The sweet smell of her deodorant went through my nostrils and I wanted nothing more than to bury myself deep within her but knowing fully well that she doesn't go well with s*x,I refrained myself.

She fidgeted with her fingers after taking my shirt off,her face held uncertainty and something more but I decided not to ponder on it.

"Albert remember when I told you I have kids?" She asked and I nodded I affirmation. "Yeah i do. You also promised to show them to me." I said in a whisper and she nodded.

"Well they're here. In this house but I don't want anyone to know. Not even your mom." She said and I furrowed my brows.

Why does she not want my mom to know? What secret could she be hiding that's so dear?

"Just do it. Please don't let anyone know." She begged with tears almost rolling out of her eyes.

"Okay. But you're gonna tell me once we're married. What exactly you're hiding." I said sternly and she nodded.

"No....no... please don't, don't I beg you please don't.....nooooo_" she screamed and jerked awake in the middle of the night, sweating profusely as she held the duvet protectively around her chest.

Her chest heaved up and down as tears rolled out of her eyes. Since our six years of dating, we've never spent the night together and her reason was because we weren't married but today I proved to be more stubborn and decided to sleep next to her.

Is this the reason she never agreed for us to spend the night together? Why was she screaming? What exactly could be the problem?

"Are you alright?" I asked and she nodded, looking Everywhere but me. "You don't look alright." I whispered, trying to pull her into my arms but she moved away.

"Don't touch me. Don't_ don't." She continued to say until I nodded.

"Go back to bed. I'll sleep on the sofa.

I so much hate myself for how I reacted to Albert but I couldn't help it. I was still feeling the impact from the nightmare but knowing I had a shoot,I got up from bed.

The nanny was feeding Carlos when I walked in. He smiled and threw his hands in the air as I walked in. "Mommy." He called with mouthful of cereal.

"How's my prince doing?" I asked, looking at the final design of the bedroom. My staff really did a good job and am gonna commend them for that.

"Mommy did you cry?" He asked and I gasped, checking my eyes. "Of course not hunny,eat up I want you to meet someone." I whispered and walked out.

How can I explain to my seven years old boy that his bastard father is the reason my life is a mess? The reason I can't live a normal life? The reason I keep on dreading myself,my life and my body.

The scars are permanent. How do I explain to people that I don't know the father of my kids? That my kids are bastards?

How do I come out with two handicapped children? Tears rolled out of my eyes as I sank to the ground.

I felt someone pull me up and of course it was Albert. He wrapped his hands around me, giving me his warmth as I cried harder.

"He arrived her house last night and I bet she believed it was Albert." Lex said and I chuckled. "Yeah. Fool doesn't know what's coming her way." I whispered slowly as Lex slid his hands into my blouse to grab my boobs.

"Gosh that doctor really tried. I feel like tit fvcking you right now." He whispered, pushing me slowly until I laid on my back.

"Go on pervert." I whispered as his fingers attacked my cl*t, causing an involuntarily moan and scream from me.

"Am gonna fvck the hell outta you. Don't forget the shoot is coming up." He whispered.
