CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE
Last baking challenge of the last day of the week.
Peter and Sarah stand amongst the crowd surrounding only two participants’ booths.
Moria gathers jars, utensils, and pans, putting them on her booth’s counter. She eyes Serafine across The Field as she prepares her ingredients for a different dish.
Peter eyes Moria’s ingredients. From what he can make out, she has nettle, salvia, and dried cherries. She must be making a Memory Loaf. He looks over at Serafine’s ingredients. Nothing looks familiar. An announcer steps up to the center of the Field, grabbing Peter’s attention from the two girls.
