CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE Lilith leans over her water screen. She jumps from one body of water to the next in a wavy blur. “Where are they? This is becoming more than a nuisance.” Focusing on the blur, she makes out the bodies of Elephimas and humans alike. Letting out a growling grunt, she passes her hand over the screen, and the blur stops on a puddle lying next to a door of the Academy. Crossing her arms, she cuts her eyes at the screen. Hhmm. What a thought. Could they be there? It is the one place she has the least power to penetrate. Touching the screen with the tip of a finger, she watches it ripple.
