CHAPTER FIFTEEN Sarah’s voice breaks the deafening silence. “It’s been a while since you’ve drawn something.” She smiles down at him from behind his shoulder. Peter jumps, cutting his eyes over his shoulder, and sniggers. “Well, I haven’t had the time as of late.” He sniggers harder, turning back to the page. Sarah giggles. “I can tell. You’re getting rusty.” She points to the eyes. “Your eyes are a bit too oval.” She laughs through her nose. Peter rolls his eyes, chuckling, and puts the quill away. “Did you nap well?” He shifts in the chair, turning to her, and props a hand on the wooden backing.
