Chapter 10On Friday, Dennis met John and Alex. He found he liked both of Luca’s friends. The Marrow was a German/Italian restaurant and the luncheon menu was unusual. Dennis felt very comfortable with Alex and John by the time it came to talk business.
Alex planned for a big opening. Luca told him to order good champagne, Alex gave him the stink eye but Luca said he’d pay for it. The opening was to be catered by one of the city’s leading caterers. They decided to first pass canapés and then miniature cupcakes. Both Dennis and Luca thought that was a novel idea. They left the restaurant in complete agreement with each other.
