Kayla's s Pov
When I gave Jake that kind of hug, I had no idea. It simply occurred.
My feelings had overtaken me.
I was drowning in my own tears one moment, and then I was wrapped around him like a lost child who had finally been found.
Then I heard a voice. Sharp and icy. "What the hell are you doing with my fiancé? I leaped back as if I had touched fire."
I lowered my arms to my sides.
My heart pounded against my chest. I looked over at the voice.
She was stunning. perfectly attired. glass-cutting-sharp nails.
I stumbled. "Well, I didn't intend to. I'm really sorry.
"What is happening here?" she asked in a tight voice as she moved closer, her gaze shifting from me to Jake as if she was calculating something dangerous.
