Henry kept looking back with every step, wishing he could root himself to the ground and not move.
Unfortunately, Steely was determined to see him off, following closely behind until Henry got into the car. Only then did Steely turn around with a cheerful smile and head back home.
"Mommy! Why did Daddy get drunk? You should have kept an eye on him."
Steely held Crystal Foster's hand as they sat by the dining table, his round little face full of excitement. "Mommy, I have a surprise for you in the room. You have to try it after you finish eating."
"Our little Steely is already preparing surprises for Mommy. Thank you, my son!" Crystal Foster bent down and planted a gentle kiss on Steely's forehead, making the little guy shyly cover his cheeks.
After finishing her late-night snack, Crystal went upstairs. In the middle of her bedroom's large bed was a big black gift box.
Inside, she found the red dress she had tried on earlier that day.
The door creaked open slightly, and Steely's little head peeked through the gap. "Mommy, you look so pretty in that dress. Can you wear it again later so Steely can see? Steely wants to take pictures with Mommy!"Steely's sweet, childish voice and his beaming smile melted Crystal's heart instantly. She walked over, pinching his chubby cheeks, her eyes crinkling with joy.
"Of course, I can! Steely is so good to Mommy, and I love you so much." So much that she never wanted to leave.
Crystal Foster silently added a thought to herself, looking at the innocent smile on Little Bean's face, feeling a twinge in her nose.
"Mommy, why are you crying?" Little Bean reached out with his small hand to wipe Crystal's tears. "Did I do something wrong?"
Crystal quickly shook her head. "No, no, our Little Bean is the best. Mommy's just going to take a shower, and then we'll take some beautiful pictures together."
Little Bean nodded. "Okay, Mommy, you go ahead. I'll wait for you."
As Crystal entered the bathroom, Little Bean hurried into Martin Riley's room.
"Daddy, Daddy, wake up!"
Standing by the bed, he tugged on Martin's large hand, trying hard to wake him up.
When that didn't work, he climbed onto the bed, kneeling beside Martin, pinching his nose and playfully patting his face.
Martin, feeling groggy and unable to breathe with his nose pinched, slowly woke up to see Little Bean sitting next to him."Little Bean?"
His voice was still a bit hoarse from sleep, and Martin's brow furrowed slightly.
"Daddy, you're awake!" Little Timmy exclaimed with excitement, helping Martin Riley sit up and handing him a glass of water. "Daddy, I have a surprise for you."
"A surprise? What kind of surprise?" Martin asked, taking a sip of water. The headache eased a bit, but the alcohol still lingered in his system, making the room spin slightly as he looked at Timmy.
"You'll see when you get up, Daddy. Come on, get up and see the surprise I prepared for you."
Timmy tugged Martin out of bed and led him to the door of Crystal Foster's room.
Martin paused, raising a hand to his temple as his head throbbed faintly.
Though he was drunk, he wasn't so far gone as to lose awareness. This was that woman's room. What was she up to this time?
"Timmy!" Martin's tone was a bit stern. "What does she want you to do now?"
Timmy flinched, not daring to meet Martin's eyes. "Daddy, Mommy didn't say anything. I just prepared a gift for you."
His voice wavered, almost on the verge of tears, looking so pitiful that it tugged at Martin's heart."What kind of gift?" Martin's tone was still firm, but his expression softened considerably.
Little Coin giggled, "Daddy, you'll see once you go in."
Martin Riley hesitated for a moment, then placed his hand on the doorknob and turned it open. Little Coin didn't follow him inside.
The room was lit, but empty, except for the faint rustling sounds coming from the bathroom.
Crystal Foster heard the bedroom door open but didn't pay much attention, thinking it was Little Coin returning. She called out, "Little Coin, just wait a moment, Mommy will be ready soon."
The dress she was wearing was quite demanding on her figure. After having a late-night snack with Little Coin, she found it difficult to zip up the back by herself. She assumed Little Coin was outside and planned to ask for help.
With that thought, Crystal opened the bathroom door and stepped out, her head down as she adjusted her dress. She turned slightly, "Little Coin, can you help Mommy with the zipper? I can't reach it."
The soft orange light poured down, casting a gentle glow on Crystal's hair, making it seem like she was wrapped in a warm halo.
Her skin was flawless and radiant, strikingly white against the red dress.
Her long hair fell in soft waves, half draped over her shoulder, showcasing her elegance.
"Crystal Foster..."
Martin whispered, his gaze filled with a mix of confusion and awe, his fingers curling nervously, too stiff to hold anything.
Crystal Foster didn't catch the words clearly, but she could tell it wasn't Steel Coin speaking. It was Martin Riley. She immediately turned around, alert, and saw the man standing by the door.
His gaze was distant, as if he was looking at her but also through her, seeing someone else.
Crystal took a step forward. "Martin, you're awake."
The figure in her mind kept flickering before her eyes, finally merging with the woman in front of him. Martin stepped forward with determination. Under Crystal's astonished gaze, he cupped her face with his hands, leaned down, and their lips met in a fierce kiss that left Crystal breathless.
"Martin... mmph..."
Crystal clung tightly to Martin's white shirt, feeling like her brain was running out of oxygen. Her lips were kissed until they were swollen, and she could taste the alcohol in her mouth. Her eyes filled with tears, glistening under the light, creating a mesmerizing sight.
"Martin, you..."
Before she could finish, she felt herself being lifted off the ground. In the next moment, Martin gently laid her on the bed, his presence overwhelming as he leaned over her.The man stood with his back to the light, making it hard for Crystal Foster to see his expression. She could barely make out the intense desire in his eyes, causing her to swallow nervously and grip the bedsheet tightly.
"Martin Riley, you're drunk. Let me get you some water," Crystal said cautiously, trying to support Martin's arm as she attempted to get up, but found herself unable to move.
Her large eyes were fixed on him, unaware of how enticing she looked at that moment.
Martin remained silent, gazing at the woman beneath him. His fingers gently traced her face as the alcohol clouded his mind. He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on Crystal's lips.
Feeling the warmth on her lips, Crystal instinctively closed her eyes.
Outside, the moonlight seemed to sense something and quietly hid behind the clouds, leaving only a faint glow on the earth.
The night was filled with passion and desire, enveloping the room in its embrace.
