Chapter4; Prince Clarke, the Messiah

1389 Words
Sansa's POV Truly, I had my savior here but he looked nothing like I expected. Then it struck me that I never knew what I wanted in the first place. It was Prince Clarke, walking in confidently. The first guard, now dead, was on the ground, eyes wide open, blood trickling to the ground drop after drop. The second guard was trying to dress himself. But Clarke was faster. Before the second guard could move, Clarke stabbed him with his sword. The thrust was deep enough to drive a point. Clarke removed the sword as quickly as it went in and the guard fell dead. I could see Robin’s chest rising and falling. He was angry or should I say he looked angry? As if nothing had happened, Clarke untied me. He removed his robe and clothed me with it. I was secure in Clarke's broad shoulders. I had stopped crying and I looked up at Clarke. He had barely broken a sweat. “Are you okay?” Clarke asked me. I kept looking at him, too stunned to answer. “Playing the hero, huh!” Robin said angrily. He grabbed a sword, moved to Clarke and placed the sword solidly on Clarke's neck. “I can kill you here and now and put an end to your foolishness.” “The foolish one here is not me but you,” Clarke replied. “I won't fight back. Kill me and see if you'll be able to leave this place in one piece.” “You dare threaten me, the Alpha's heir!” Robin shouted at him. “Keep your voice down…” Clarke replied coolly. “You are not the Alpha's heir. Our father was wiser than making you his heir. Now try to kill me. If you can't, you can just get out of my face.” Clarke waited but Robin couldn't make the move. I had never seen Robin look so lost in my life. Seeing that he had won, Clarke carried me and started to leave. I had heard tales of how intelligent and well-mannered Clarke was but none talked about how strong he was. “I will take you to the doctor in the…” Clarke was saying. All of a sudden, I saw Robin's head show up. With his sword, he slashed Clarke's right hand. Clarke was shocked and I fell out of his hand. Clarke now had a knee on the ground as he tried to stop the bleeding. Clarke's eyes were red in anger. “You have your way with words but I am not a fool,” Robin told him. “You can have your time with your new w***e. I heard you rarely allow women in your bedroom. Since you saved her life, she should spend the rest of her life thanking you with her p***y. Don't make her your concubine though.” “Scum!” Clarke exclaimed. “I know…” Robin replied. “You'd better start to pack your things. When I become the Alpha, the first head I will come to take is yours. Since you love travelling so much, I expect you to start packing up. Take your new w***e with you.” Robin dropped the sword and left majestically. Clarke was really bleeding and this made me worried. “I am sorry,” I kept on saying. I helped him apply pressure on the wound with tears filling up my eyes. “I'm fine,” Clarke told me. He handed me a strong cloth and I tried the wounded area. Clarke didn't look at it but he was actually strong. Afterwards, he led me outside the execution area. It was crowded outside. The majority of people there were maids and everybody looked shocked that I didn't die. I could spot Lina in the crowd with a pale face, no doubt she had been crying. I smiled at her and she waved back at me. Clarke took me to his own doctor and my wounds were dressed. “He is wounded too…” I told the doctor as I pointed at Clarke. “Is that so, my prince? Let me take a look,” the doctor offered. However, I could see how hesitant Clarke looked. “Don't bother, I will be fine. It is a simple scratch and you know me, my wounds heal fast even without being cared for by a doctor. I can take care of myself!” Clarke replied reluctantly. I expected the doctor to try convincing him but his doctor didn't. I was going to talk but I realized I was still a maid. I had no right to talk to a prince rashly. Clarke was going to leave. “Excuse me!” I called as he turned back. “Thank you for helping me. I know I am unworthy of your grace. I appreciate your help, my prince.” I gave Clarke the most sincere bow of my life and when I raised my head, I saw his smiling face. “It's nothing,” Clarke replied. “All I did was stop the abuse of power by Robin. Also, I saved your life and I demand repayment. Don't think you don't have to repay me.” “I will do anything!” I replied calmly. “You will be my personal maid. My guard will wait outside to show you your new quarters. Serve me and only me from now on,” Clarke told me. “But the butler… Abby won't let me…” I muttered. “I am a Prince. The butler will do as I say,” Clarke told me. He stepped out of the room afterwards. I watched his majestic presence move out and I couldn't help liking him. It was a vain thing to do but it was also uncontrollable. “Your wounds are minor,” the doctor said, bringing me back to reality. “Yes, I can see,” I replied. “I fear that the prince's wounds are more severe. I don't know why he is refusing you to check on it. If it gets worse, he might lose his right hand totally. I have seen it happen before.” “I know!” The doctor chirped in. “Then you should have made sure to treat him before he left,” I argued. “You don't understand men,” the doctor laughed. This was really confusing but I didn't need to ask before he explained further. “Can't you tell that the prince likes you? He took a sword cut for you and doesn't want to look weak in front of you?” “What do you mean?” I asked, unable to understand. “I haven't met him until today. Even if he had known me all his life, it is impossible for a noble prince to fall in love with me, a maid.” “You should go to him tonight,” the doctor advised. “I can't share his bed. I will be severely punished if I attempt to seduce a prince with my lowly body!” I refused blatantly. “I meant nothing like seduction,” the doctor replied. “He is wounded. I will give you some herbs. Go to him and treat him yourself.” ** My new room was the best of my life. I shared the room with no one and there was a big bed there. This would be my first time using a bed. However, I couldn't sleep. I could only practice how I would treat Clarke in my head. The moment the bells for ten o'clock rang, I knew it was showtime. I had to make sure I kept a low profile. Getting away from the guards was no big deal but I knew I would encounter the guards when I got to Clarke's villa. I had begun to make up lies in my head. I just had to see Clarke. Getting to the villa, there was no guard in sight. It was strange. I tiptoed, making no sound and looking around frequently. There was no guard in sight until I saw a dead body at the door. My heart skipped a beat. With my hands shaking, I managed to open the door. I could see assassins and I could see blood.
