Alex and Peter made their grand entrance at breakfast, though a little bit later than the rest of the group. They'd been busy sealing the deal. They sat at the table across from one another, attempting to go on as if nothing major had happened the night before. Alex, about to burst from the excitement and kept trying to craft a way to announce the engagement.
She began exposing her left hand, in any manner she could to try to get her friends to notice the ring on her finger, but they appeared oblivious to it. Every now and then Peter would flash Alex a knowing, heart-fluttering look and smile widely. She figured he knew what she was trying to do.
Another opportunity presented itself. Beth sat on the same side of the long narrow table as Alex sat but at the opposite end. Kate sat between
