The area near the entrance of the Horizon Education Academy was almost deserted when Tyler finally saw Tulip coming out of the gate. He has been here for the last 20 minutes doubting whether he was late so she went home early. She had her hairs in a low ponytail, some loose strands framing her small face. She looked nervous, Tyler noticed, but he was nervous too.
“Hi,” Tulip waved, coming to stand beside him, hands braced on the handle for her bicycle.
“I thought I was late,” Tyler said, making Tulip laugh.
“Now you know you weren’t late,” she pointed out.
“Right,” he said. They both started walking away from the school campus.
“So what did you decide?” Tulip asked, breaking the silence that enveloped them.
“I have few questions,” Tyler admitted. Last night he thought about all
