Shanea had just accepted a position as a host, working for a high end hotel in its restaurants. She was both nervous and excited all at once, as she had never done this type of hosting work before. There was also the issue of obtaining the proper attire on her tight budget. Since the preferred uniform swallowed her whole, she had no other choice but to provide her own formal business clothing. The job required her to wear a nice suit, or at least nice slacks and a long sleeve white shirt (shorts sleeves outside). She had the slacks from working previous jobs. However, she has never worn a suit jacket before. The day before she started work, she went to all of the reasonably priced places around town. She searched for either a suit or just a suit jacket. Shanea went to Ross Dress for Less, Walmart, Marshall’s and TJ Maxx. Nothing really fit her small frame, but she did find something reasonable in her tight budget at Ross. That was better than nothing. The suit she purchased was about half a size too big for her, but would work for the job. "If they have a problem with it, then tough. This is the best I can do. Once I get my first paycheck, I will be able to get it altered." Shanea said outload to herself.
