He then got a call and I don’t know any of his friends but it said ‘HER’ and when I saw it I then looked out of the window. Not knowing who ‘HER” is and I started thinking a lot of different things. Jake looked at me and said “Mary look at me” after we stopped at a red light, I got scared not knowing what he was going to say next. He then said “look at me” and I turned my head slightly. And he sighed but the light turned green so he had to go. I was worried about why he was acting so strange. But I didn’t do or say anything. When he looked in the rearview mirror he saw Mouse and said “s**t” really loud. “ what does he want?” I asked with little to none confidence. “You,” Jake said. “I’m confused. I don’t know why would he…….”. Then I realized why he wanted me. Jake then said, “I am so sorry, I should have never brought you there.” I looked at him and said, “ It’s fine”. He looked at me but said nothing else. I looked at the window thinking what I can do to get out of this situation Jake then said “Look we won’t get there any faster if I have to stop to scoop you off the side of the road” I looked at him and said “ I’m not gonna commit suicide if I was then I would’ve done so a long time ago.” Then I looked back out the window. And then I looked out the back window to see Mouse speeding up to us. I got scared again. Jake realized that I was scared so he said “ okay this is stupid!” Then he called Mouse and told him to stop following us and Mouse said “I want the girl, then and maybe then I will leave you alone.” and I said “Oh HELL NO”. Jake said “let me deal with this.” And then he said HELL NO, rot in hell and Mouse said fine then why don’t I call the cops and see if they agree to this k********g? And I said it isn’t k********g if I agreed to come along and Mouse said he could have threatened your family or something to make you say that. And I said well that's stupid and it would be really stupid of you to do that seeing as I am a runaway and all and it would make you my accomplice and you would go to jail too. And Mouse said no it wouldn’t….. Well, you knew where I was and that I ran away. I said. Jake then looked at me with amaze on his face and Mouse said fine bye and he hung up the phone. Jake then said that was amazing you are amazing! I looked at him and smiled shyly and said well that was fun do you think he will follow us anymore? No, I don’t think he has the balls to follow us. Jake said with a smile with a smile on his face. I looked at him and he looked out at the road ahead of us. I was tired but I didn’t want to sleep not knowing if I could. Jake then said, “you look very tired, maybe you should sleep, I promise I won’t go anywhere.” I looked at him and said I’m fine” he looked at me with disbelief but then he turned back to the road pulled into a motel and said, “we can stay here for the night.” I looked at him and said, “what if he comes back?” “Well then we will have to make a run for it,” he said jokingly, I didn’t get how he could be joking right now, so I decided that would run when he slept. Jake said, “don’t?” Jake looked away and said, “umm it is like written all over your face.” “Well, I know now,” I said he looked surprised when I said that He then said, “Know what?” “That you are a terrible liar,” I said. Jake looked at me and said ``how do you know that I am lying?” and I said, “Well you have several tells, first you looked up at your mirror for ten seconds which is to the left, second your hands twitched three times, third and lastly your voice cracked so um.” He looked at me and said “wow your good now get out” I was confused so I asked “why are you kicking me out?” he looked at me and said, “I’m getting out too.” 

I looked at him and he looked at me for what seemed to be forever and then we both got out of the car, then we entered the lobby of the motel and asked for a room with two beds and the woman said sorry we only have one room left and it only has one bed. Jake looked at me and then said: “We will take it.” I just shrugged.
