The First Hybrid

Going to the Palace

 Angie's POV

   My friends and I have had a rough go at this whole hybrid thing. We have to be at the palace this evening to be welcomed into vampire society officially. Honestly I am a little nervous. The only thing that has me feeling a little excited is the fact that since this is a vampire palace there will be very little humans. Those that are there though are feeders or pets. I'm not sure how we will know the difference but I guess Eric will help me. I count on my mates more than I have ever thought I would. Eric helps me control my urges and Thomas helps me hold on to my humanity. They have both been so patient with me and good to me. I packed our bags and had them ready by the front doors. Each girl was supposed to be packing for their mates and having the bags by the door for the servants to grab when the limo got here. I didn't want to be hungry when we got to the palace so I fixed some food for those who wanted it and warmed some blood for the ones who wanted it. Eric came up from behind me and took his glass of blood and chugged it before smashing his lips to mine. After his knee buckling kiss I drank some coffee to get rid of the blood taste so when I kissed Thomas I didn't taste of blood. The others came down like clock work. Thomas stopped to get a plate of food and I grabbed him and laid one on him making him growl into me as he held on to me. When he released me he went back to making his plate.

    We all sat together waiting for the limo to arrive eating and drinking the prepared food. "Thank you Ang for the spread." Greyson thanked. The others started chiming in with their thanks as well. Our fathers came in the house to talk to us one last time before we left. "Are you guys ready to go?" My father asked as he reached for some bacon. "Yes father we are. Would you like me to make you a plate?" I offered. "No sweet heart I can get it myself." He answered. "Ok, Well there is plenty of food you guys can help yourselves if you want some." I told them as I continued to eat the bacon from my plate. "Do all three of you eat people food?" Elizabeth's dad asked as he made his plate. "Sometimes. We all drink blood most of the time. We eat human food when the mood strikes us." Elizabeth answered. "I see" He responded back. "I'll have the maids come clean in here as well today so when you guys get home Monday night it's all clean for you." My father stated as he ate. 

    "Thank you father that will be wonderful." I chirped as I took my plate to the sink. "So how has the self control gone so far?" Casey's father asked as he ate. "Angie hasn't hurt anyone. I had some struggle but didn't either. Liz bit Greyson when she woke up but has been fine since then." Casey answered as she put her plate in the sink. The limo pulled up as we finished. Everyone got up and started making sure everything was together. One by one the group headed to the car as the bags were loaded into the car. "Angie, we want to talk to you for a minute." My father stated as I went to head out. I stopped and turned to face them. "The alpha boys told us that you are the alpha hybrid. Is that true?" Casey's father asked bluntly. "Yes sir why?" I asked. "We were hoping you could help keep the rest of the girls in check. Being in the palace having a chance to feed freely from living donors might make them get out of control. We just want you all to come home safe and in good condition." Elizabeth's father explained. "You have nothing to worry about. I will make sure they are still in control. I won't let you guys down." I assured them as I stood on my tip toes to kiss my father's cheek. "I love you sweet heart." My father yelled as I headed out. "Love you too daddy." I replied as I got in the limo.

    We were off for the hour long drive to the palace. The group talked the whole drive making it go by in a blur. Next thing you know we were there. After getting out of the car we were greeted by the Queen and King. "Nice to finally have you guys here as family." Katherine cooed as she hugged each of us girls. "Thank you for having us." I chimed in wanting to be nice. "Aren't you so sweet. Okay so the boys know where their rooms are so you guys can go get settled in. Dinner is at eight this evening. There's snacks in the kitchen if you guys get hungry. Elliott and I are going to go take a nap. Oh yeah and there are surprises for each of you girls hanging on the backs of the doors of the rooms. I want you to wear them to the ball tomorrow night." Katherine stated as she grabbed Elliott's hand dragging him to their room. Eric, Mitchell and Jacob led us to their bed rooms. By the time we got to them the servants had already had our things brought to the rooms. "Are you guys tired or are you up for a tour?" Eric asked as he pulled me to him for a hug. "If your tired we could sleep first if you want." I offered. Knowing as he is a vampire he usually needs to sleep during the day. "It's fine we slept most of the night last night let's go on a walk." Eric told me as he kissed my temple. "Is that alright with you Thomas?" I asked as he leaned in and kissed my forehead. "Anything you want baby." He cooed. Eric took my hand in his and led me from our room. I grabbed Thomas' hand pulling him along. I can't believe one of my mates is actually a prince. I doubt I will ever get used to that.

    The palace is huge. They have an indoor pool. The property has a wall around most of it. There are thirty bedrooms and thirty five bathrooms. They have a locker room by the pool. The place has a state of the art kitchen a huge ballroom and dinning room. They do have a living room with all of the state of the art electronics and games hooked up to a sixty five inch flat screen television. We didn't get to see all the rooms because most of them have people living in them but what we did see was amazing. They have an out of this world herb garden and a rose garden. There is a giant fountain in the middle of the rose garden. I am in awe of this place. Must be nice to have such a lavish life. As the daughter of an alpha sure I had extra things in life but nothing like this. There are a whole team of maids and butlers that do anything and everything that needs done around here. This is just so insane. No wonder the staff is surprised that I thank them when they do stuff for me. People or vampires here probably take them for granted.
