Venice dear there you are son I thought you weren't gonna make it what took you so long?

Good morning mom he said kissing her checks I told you I would I will be here I always keep my words.

That sounded like a cliche to lucil she made up her mind not to leave any stone unturned when dealing with him. Have you had something to eat? we can have breakfast.

Right a sudden silence descended upon them as though she had run through her tirade quickly. Finally she noticed a creature beside Venice. Honey whose that behind you don't tell me you have a girl guard because she looks like the one that needs protection she said giggling heartily but was the only one laughing at her stupid joke.

Mom this is Anna my P. A Anna meet my mom. Totally ignoring Anna's greeting she turned back to Venice but son I already asinged one specially for you dismiss her she is not needed.

Anna's first impression of venice's mom was one of awe and fear because how can somebody be that elegant at her age. she had been looking forward to meeting venice's mom the woman that raised the man he was today but it seems they were different people entirely and his mom had this aura around her like some sort of vibe hovering around her that was absent in venice's company she wished she could disappear back to her room her safe heaven. Maybe she was just overreacting like always or venice's mom was one of those people who looks mean but has a kindest heart because she has to be kind like her son right? that's the way it's supposed to be.

Mom she is my P. A and it's not negotiable and i will appreciate it if you will give her the same level of respect accorded to me. Now if you will excuse us I would like to show her around before the meeting begins.

Hrrmph the nerve of that boy tongue lashing her in front of that insignificant figure and who the hell is that girl anyways she didn't look British or American maybe one of those Asian countries and her face looks familiar where had she seen her? Who cares she certainly do not care one iote her up most desire is to milk Venice financially into legacy and make it seem Henry is the hero and not Venice. it was high time he met his downfall.

Am sorry about my mom's attitude Venice muttered leading her from one spacious room in the company to another.

I completely understand it must be a Herculean task to run a company this big it can sure turn anyone into a dragon. I don't expect her to smile at everything that passes her way.

He merely grunted still upset that she was talked down on by his mom he wanted to go back and raise his voice at her family talking to Anna like that and he resented the fact she was understanding and made excuses for other people's flaw she wouldn't survive a day with that attitude.

Thank you for standing up for me with your mom it was completely unnecessary I can still head home she said trying her luck. And this company has about hundred staff and counting surely I am now needed.

He was another to say something else before he was called for the starting of the meeting. I will be back stay here and don't escape he said sitting her down on a chair . As though she could the hallways all looked the same and confusing. She had a imagined briefly Mrs lucil seeing her on her expensive seat and yanking at her hair throwing her out. Unable to settle down she stood up and paced the narrow entrance just few minutes in his absence and was already wishing she had followed him but she had to be realistic . it was inappropriate to follow him about like a lost puppy but she was lost. she needed fresh air couldn't stand the stifling air coupled with nerves anymore she sprang forward and went heads to heads with someone and documents went flying her head aches raising her eyes slowly she looked into eyes that were filled with fury and anger.

Are you blind? can't you watch where you are you are heading Henry roared like a wounded animal .

Am so so sorry it's my fault for being clumsy am really sorry she apologized. if only she had been more careful or had simply sat down like she was told to she thought repeatedly hastily packing up the document into a buck and handing it over to the angry man that looked ready to devour her. My apologies to you I hope you forgive me.

Henry finally saw past his anger and stared at her she looked like a painting come to life and her eyes were so full but he was livid imagine been excused out of the meeting to photocopy some damn document. Damn them all it was his f*****g company and won't be treated like an errand boy all because of Venice and to think his mum was silent.

Who are you and what are you doing in my company he thundered wanting to remind everyone he was still the owner.

Anna instinctively knowing this was Venice's brother outstretched her hand and tried a smile. My name is Anna I am newly employed here gosh she was getting on the wrong side of his family today.

Henry he replied taking her dainty hands anticipating the softness and appreciating it they almost diffused his anger.

I hope I didn't hurt you my head banged against yours pretty hard she said retrieving her hands from him.

Hell every fragment of anger dissolved who the hell was she he was yelling at her but she was concerned with his forehead. Am fine maybe I can treat you to a cup of coffee if you will follow me.
