Night At The Gril

However, Anastasia was yet to leave the house for the night hangout. Anastasia was dressed in a beautiful black gown, having her back straps fall down her shoulder and holding her jacket by her right hand when she boomed into aunt Vivienne in the sitting room about going inside the room. "I'm going to meet Diana at the grill." She said, "You have fun. Wait, I got this. Don't stay out late, it's a school night." Aunt Vivienne instructed. "Well done, aunt Vivienne."Anastasia chuckles, shaking her head and smiling. Just when she opened the door and was about to step out, she stormed into Sanchez at the door. "Oh." She gaps. " Sorry, I was about to knock. I wanted to apologize for my disappearing act earlier. I know it was strange." Sanchez appeals. " No worries, I get it. Blood makes you squeamish." Ana simply waved it off. " Something like that. How is your leg?" " Oh, it's fine. Just a scratch, barely. How did you know where is live?" Ana couldn't hide that she was surprised that Sanchez, being a new guy in town, knew where she lived. " It's a small town. I asked the first person I saw." Sanchez reached for his bag and took out a diary." I thought you might want this back." He handed over the diary to Ana. "I must have dropped it. I… Thank you." She reached out to the diary, examining it closely. "Don't worry, I didn't read it." "No? Why not? Most people would have." She tried to persuade him to get the truth. " Well, I wouldn't want anyone to read mine." "You keep a journal?" She asked, surprised. " Yeah, if I don't write it down, I forget it. Memories are very important." " Yeah. I'm just gonna… am.." Ana tries to come out of the emotional state she was almost thrown into by Sanchez's words. " You don't have to stay out there." She moves back into the house. Sanchez attempts to go inside the house with Anastasia but he stops himself almost immediately, looking at the door and doormat. Strangely, he holds onto the two edges of the door. Anastasia drops her journal on the chair and comes out to see him still standing there. " I'm fine. Sorry, were you going somewhere?" He asked when he saw Ana staring at him surprised. " Yeah, I'm meeting a friend." She steps out again to stand with him. "Do you wanna come?" Sanchez obliged and they left for the grill. At the grill before Anastasia arrives to join the others. Eric and Diana were seated together and having a drink. " How is Anastasia doing?" Eric asked Diana. "Her Mom and dad died. What do you think? She is putting on a good face. It's only been four months," Diana said almost in a whisper. "Has she said anything about me?" "Oh no. So not getting in the middle. You pick up the phone and call her." " I feel weird calling her. She broke up with me." " Give it more time Eric." Diana felt bad for Eric. He wasn't happy with the fact that Anastasia broke upwith him after the death of her parents. He needed to talk to Diana about it somehow. (Door opens) Anastasia walks into the grill with Sanchez. They both got everyone's attention. " More time, uh?" Eric said to Diana after seeing them. He stood up from where he sat to where Ana stood with Sanchez. "Hey, I'm Eric, nice to meet you." He gave out a hand shake with Sanchez. "Hi. Sanchez." "Hey." Anastasia said to Eric, smiling. "Hey." He responded. Eric couldn't get his eyes off Anastasia while feeling uncomfortable with Sanchez, although he tried to conceal it. Sanchez shared a table with the girls. Alicia, Anastasia and Diana. "So, you were born in El Dorado?" Diana asked Sanchez. "Mm-hm and I moved when I was still young." Sanchez replied. " Parents?" Diana's turn. "My parents passed away." Sanchez turned to look at Anastasia, who was already emotional hearing that. "I'm sorry. Any siblings?" Anastasia showed concern. "None that I still talk to. I live with my uncle," he concluded. "So, Sanchez, if you're new, then you don't know about the party tomorrow" Alicia cuts in on their emotional display. " It's a back-to-school thing at Dorado," Diana tried to dismiss. "Are you going?" Sanchez asked Anastasia. " Of course, she is." Diana answered on behalf of Anastasia, smiling, just so she didn't say no. Anastasia simply smiled, tucked in her hair and kept looking at Sanchez, who did the same. **************************** Sanchez had just returned to the Rodriguez house from the grill. While he was putting on his shirt revealing his musculine physique, the door slammed open in coercion and a tall white-skinned gentleman walked in on him angrily. " You promised." Zack said, handing over a folded newspaper to him. It read 'Dave Hiro and Marilyn Gabby found dead mutilated by an animal.' " This was an animal attack." Sanchez said, handing over the newspaper to Zack. " Don't give me that. I know the game. You tear them up, just so they suspect it's an animal attack. You said you had it under control." "And I do." Please, uncle Sanchez, El Dorado is a different place now. It's been quiet for years. But there are people who still remember. And you being here…it's just gonna stir things up." " That's not my intention." " Then what is? Why did you come back after all this time? Why now?" Zack was furious. " I don't have to explain myself." I know that you can't change what you are. But you don't belong here anymore." " Where do I belong?" He asked emotionally. ' can't tell you what to do. But coming back here was a mistake." Zack drops the newspaper and walks away. Sanchez, being an ageless century vampire, is Zack's uncle although Zack looked older than he did. Sanchez went to an old ancient Shelf where he had his clothes and series of books. He took out a particular book that had Anastasia's doppelgängers image on it called 'Cressida 1850'.
