Chapter 6

Six years went by.

Jenni pov

I cant belive i am almost done with school, i have one year left to go and i will officially graduate, I am now twenty four years old, and I have kept out of radars of other wolves, I stay away from packs and lone wolves, i have to, i dont need them going back telling anyone about me, so i cover my scent when im around the shopping areas, i know they come to the human town as well to shop, So i don't have a choice to do that, I also don't need Simon to come and find out that I am here, the last time I heard from John Ment was a year ago, He had told me Simon went nuts when he found out I was gone, and that he had to punish him, but it didn't work, he broke out of his room and hauled ass to find me, but once he realized I wasn't anywhere near their pack, He had given up and came home, He had to go because he had a meeting to tend to, and that's the last time i’ve heard from him, Maybe he feels that I would be safer if he didn't call me, and I am okay with that. Syre was grumbling to go for a run, I sighed and told her after my last class I would let her out so she could go for a run, a few hours later, I was heading to my car, I usually drive an hour away from town so no one would see me, i don't need hunters shooting her down, When i got to the trail, I Parked the car, I felt Syre jumping around in my head, she knew she was about to run and hunt, i know i haven't let her out in the last three months, i had to be careful, plus i had studying to do and test, the last one i had was to practice taking out a heart on a body, and when i say body, yes you get it, she was in the morgue, i still shudder when i held that heart in my hand, I knew I couldn't save her since she was already gone, but they just wanted me to hold a heart in my hands, just to see how steady they could be, I passed it, I don't know what the next one should be, but hopefully it wasn't anything gross, I was happy that i came out here, i felt more relaxed when I was out in the woods, I just needed to be careful not to run into any pack memembers or rogues, i hated pack wars, they just kill each other, its the reason why I was happy just being a lone wolf, i didn't have to worry about that anymore, I went into the woods, then i stripped down putting my close into the tree as high as I could, useally when i come back someone would had taken my clothes, I don’t know if it was just for a joke, or if someone really needed them, So i have extra in my car, I was ready so I told Syre to do her thing, I felt first break of my bones, it hurt alot more than it use to, its because i haven't shifted in a long time, Once Syre was here, I let her run, even though she was in charge right now, i felt her happniess while she ran through the woods,

After awhile she slowed down when she came to this small brook, she leaned getting something to drink than she rested for a bit, an hour later she was up and going again, passing by bushes and falling trees, she was the most happy when she was out here, though I knew she was lonely she missed the pack life being around other wolves, but those that like to start wars i just can't stand it, people getting hurt and killed it's just not right, but it's the way of the packs, Soon we were far into the woods, and I knew Syre was getting a little tired, so we were about to head back toward the car when Syre heard something, her ears perked up she started sniffing the air,

“What is it, Syre?”

“I think it's an animal that's hurt, I can't tell if its a wolf or one of us, its not that close so we need to get closer,” Great, something is hurt, i don't know how to work on animals but i could try and help it, we ran for about five minutes than she stopped, she nudged her head about some bushes,. than we saw him, a very large black wolf,

“Jenni, we need to leave, he's an alpha he could kill us,” Looking through her eyes, I saw that one of his hind legs was caught in a wolf trap, his leg was busted and i could see bones sticking out of its fur, s**t he needs help, he can't shift in that thing, it would rip his leg right off of him.

“Jenni, if you go, I won't help you. You're going to be on your own,”

“Fine, Syre, I will just get his leg free, and then we will go, I just can't leave him there, and someone comes and kills him. he just can't do that. We inched closer to the large wolf than I shifted to my human form, I held my hands up when I walked closer. He saw me, then snarled at me,

“Easy big boy, I'm here to help you okay, will you let me help you get your leg free? It looks pretty painful.” He tilted his head than back up once more, he just looked at me with those beautiful Bronze eyes, When i slowly walked over to him, Syre perked up than said mate, s**t, hes our mate, thats all i need right now, I'm just going to act like I don't know that i just need to get his let out than get out of here for good, So i spoke real softly to him so he won't think im going to hurt him, he could bleed to death if i don't get him out of this thing, I leaned down to take a look at it, I could tell he was watching every move I make,

‘Alright big guy, I am going to pull this trap apart to get your leg out of there, Can you turn to your to your left, im going to need to get a hold of it, and when i pull it apart, you can’t howl okay, who ever did this might hear you than come and try and finish you off, do you think you can do that?” He didn't say anything how could he, he was in wolf form right, I knew he could understand me when he slightly turned to the left side, he let out a small whimper, I knew he was in pain, I leaned down touching the trap, this thing is real dangerous, I had to be fast and use Syre strength to pull this apart,

“Okay, I'm going to count to three, then I'm going to pull it apart, it's your job to try and get your leg out of it okay, you have to do it quickly, okay here we go, one…two…three… I used all my strength and my wolves to get that thing to pull apart, once it did, I could hear him whimper a few times than he pulled his leg out of the trap, once his leg was far enough away, I let go of the trap, than i tossed it into the other side, I watched as he shifted back into his human form, damn he was sexy, I needed to leave, I turn to leave but then I started hearing howls, and they were close, i got into a fighting stance, i had to protect him.
