A month later
It has been over a month since we have been here, staying with Micheal and Maria, and everything was just perfect. We were at peace even though we knew that the shadow of the hunt was still hovering above our heads.
It was a good thing that the WIC company and Arthur had not found us yet. This place was safe, but history has taught us never to be comfortable in a single place, because no one knows what might happen at any given time.
So even though we were happy here, we still had to sleep with one eye open.
Waking up as always, with a smile on my face, hopeful for a new day, being here has changed me, it has given me a new sense of direction and hope.
This place felt like home.
