I was afraid when I heard the voice, and the uncertainty that I had always felt became even more intense.
'' Have they finally gotten up to us,'' I asked myself as I slowly tried to get Damien's attention.
'' Why aren't you asleep? Come on, sleep. You need all the strength you can get,'' Damien murmured in a sleepy tone, as he did not even open his eyes.
Shivering in uncertainty as the strange voice moved closer in our direction, Damien was still sound asleep and even my constant calls did nothing to wake him up.
'' Damien, someone is here,'' I whispered so as not to draw attention to us, but I hit him so hard that he had no choice but to wake up.
