Exiting the VIP room, Emily found Carla waiting for her outside.
Carla: "So, what did Lucio want?"
Emily: "He... he invited me to dinner tomorrow night."
Carla: "What? Emily, you can't be serious!"
Emily: "I didn't know what to say, Carla. He made it clear that he doesn't take no for an answer."
Concern etched on her face, Carla couldn't shake off the worry for her best friend.
Carla: "I don't like this, Emily. You shouldn't go."
Emily: "I know, but... I feel like I have no choice."
As they walked, Emily and Carla stumbled upon a cozy coffee shop and decided to grab breakfast before heading home.
Carla: "Let's eat something before we go back."
Emily: "Agreed."
Entering the coffee shop, they were greeted by the enticing aroma of fresh coffee and cinnamon.
Carla: "Find us a good spot, Emily. I'll order the food."
Emily, nodded and chose a table by the window, taking in the view of the bustling city streets.
Carla: "Here's your frappuccino and cinnamon buns."
Emily: "Thanks, Carla. You always know what I like."
As they savored their breakfast, Emily couldn't shake off the feeling of unease lingering in the air, knowing that her encounter with Lucio was just the beginning of something much more sinister.
