In the tranquil surroundings of California, Derek sat outside his house, lost in thought. The gentle breeze rustled through the trees, carrying with it a sense of unease.

Derek: "I miss them... I miss home."

Suddenly, his phone rang, interrupting his reverie. Glancing at the caller ID, he saw his mother's name flashing on the screen.

Derek: "Mom? Everything okay?"

Carol (Derek's Mother): "Derek, your father needs to talk to you. You need to come back here to New York."

Derek: "But Mom, I'm fine here in California."

Carol: "Just come back home, Derek. Don't argue with me. We need you here, ASAP."

The call ended abruptly, leaving Derek with a sense of urgency and curiosity about his father's intentions.

Derek: "What could be so important that Dad needs to talk to me about?"

Back in New York, in the opulent Crawford mansion, Martin and Carol engaged in a serious conversation.

Martin: "Did you call Derek?"

Carol: "Yes, I did. I told him he needs to come back here ASAP."

Meanwhile, in the quiet province, Emily busied herself with packing her belongings, preparing to leave for New York. Sheila and Alice accompanied her to the bus terminal, their faces filled with mixed emotions.

Alice: "Take care of yourself, Emily. We'll miss you."

Emily: "I'll miss you too, Mom. And you, Sheila."

With tears in her eyes, Emily hugged her mother and sister tightly, savoring the warmth of their embrace.

Sheila: "Stay safe, little sis. We'll be waiting for you to come back."
