Shock was an understatement of how I felt that very minute. What on earth was going on? A smile was plastered on her face as she stared at me like she had won a battle. Her gaze landed on Eric.
“You? How do you get here?” I questioned as I looked at her, confused. What the hell is going on? I just could not understand. I diverted my gaze to Eric and when I looked up again, she was not there. No, I wasn’t dreaming.
I shook Eric repeatedly. No, he could not just die. Just then, Eric shifted a little bit, muttering some words inaudible. I was happy and satisfied he was alive. I sighed in relief as I shook him even more.
