I was taken aback when I saw the Alpha. The last thing I had expected was to see the Alpha there again. What was he doing here? I turned quickly to return to the room but it was too late. He had seen me.
“Adelaide” He called softly but I pretended not to hear.
“What are you doing here?” His voice pierced through my ears. I stood and clenched my teeth as I shut my eyes tight. I didn’t want to engage in any conversation with him. I was quite scared.
“I came to check something” I lied and quickly turned back, running away from him.
I walked back to my room quickly. Just then, I heard someone call out to me. Although I didn’t want to stop, I had to. It was Eric.
