I was displeased to say the least. The last thing I really wanted to see was my mate having another lover. I really wanted to have him all to myself even though he did not feel the same. I was so sad and disappointed but I managed to keep cool.
I was even more shocked when I got the news of him getting married. I was dejected. His new bride on the other hand looked so excited as she smiled at him. I swallowed the lump of saliva that had formed in my throat and then walked away, sadness visible all over my face.
My stomach rumbled but eating with them was the last thing I wanted to do. I let out a sigh as I hurriedly walked out of their view although he stared at me as though he wanted to say a word to me. I had to find a way to leave.
