Chapter one
Beatrix's POV
I raced to the school garage, my heart pounding. Harry must be waiting for me, and I didn't
want to keep him waiting. As I rounded the corner, I caught sight of him leaning against his
car, a small smile playing on his lips. I slowed my steps as I approached him.
"Hi," I said, my voice breathless from my sprint.
"Hello to you too," Harry replied.
"You left class early," I said, noticing Harry's absence during the last period.
Harry shrugged. "Nothing serious. Just had some stuff to take care of."
"Okay," I said, still a bit curious about what had happened. I decided not to press the issue.
"Ready to head home?I'll take you wherever you want to go," Harry said with a grin.
"Home it is," I said, and the two of us climbed into His car.
As he pulled up in front of my house he drop me off at the gate "hey won't you say hi to
mummy"I said to him "oops my bad let's go in"he said and get down from the car, as we
walked through the front door, I called out, "Mom, we're home!" But there was no response.
The silence of the house was deafening. "sweetheart"I called as I ran upstairs , I check her
in her room but she's not there, i guess she's not back from work, this is unusual of her,I
walk downstairs "sorry Harry, mummy is not home yet, sorry for keeping you waiting"I said
clapping my hands together in a apology way "it okay,I guess next time, my regards to
her"he said and leave.
Oh my bad, sorry guys, I never told you who i am, well I'm Beatrix Luca the only daughter of Mrs Luca and I have a younger brother, Bertram Luca, but presently I am the only
child of Mrs Luca (Alison), my mother is a single mother since Mr Luca left us years ago, and
I became the only child of Mrs Luca when my brother died.
Harry is the only male friend I have, while Rosie and Ruby are the female friends I have,so I
have three friends. We attend the same school and we are in the same class. Well I guess
that's enough for now, with time you will know me better.
Am just gonna wait for mom here.
Chapter Two
Alison's POV
Oh I am so dead today, Beatrix will be very angry at me but it wasn't my fault, the traffic was
so much today.
I'm Mrs Alison Luca. i am Beatrix mother,am old to you guys but to my daughter am a child,
well you won't understand now but very soon you will,I open the door and see it was dark but
there's light what happen.
I tiptoe inside so she won't notice but hell no,her voice startles me,"and where did you think
you are going woman"I heard her voice and that's when I know am in for it,so she actually
switch off the light,"see Beatrix am sorry I came late,it was the traffic, you know"I said
moving to where she is "really?, traffic, well Harry said i should greet you,he drop me off"she
said "oh the handsome guy, tell him I said thank you"I said
"Mrs!,so tell me how is work today, hope Mr Noah wasn't angry that you came late today"she
asked,Argh!! She asked too many questions "Beatrix, are you not hungry because I'm
starving"I said trying to excuse myself, if only I had known. "why, don't you eat at the
office"she ask "no, there was a lot of work so I use my lunch break hour to work"I said
truthfully "what!,I have always told you to always eat no matter what"she said with authority,
"I'm sorry dear "I said "please don't repeat this again, okay,am hungry too, have prepared
something for us to eat,go freshen up and come downstairs, and let's eat"she said turning to
the TV.
I just nodded my head and went upstairs. What a child!
