Though I believe that all ages are challenging, turning fourteen may indicate that an individual was a young adolescent going through a time of development and maturation. As my body developed and progressed, I went through several physical changes, including puberty, body hair which I actually hate, some pimple breakouts which I actually hated more, and a slight definition of my physical attributes.
When my parents would not let me do this or that, I would actually be going through a variety of emotional shifts, including mood swings and unpredictable moods. In addition, as my critical thinking and cognitive abilities improved and thought more about something, I was going through a lot of mental upheavals.
