CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO They made it inside the door and flattened themselves against the wall just as all hell broke loose. The Tekhen of Set blew outward and upward, carried on beams of light in all directions. It sounded like an enormous waterfall roaring into the depths of a valley. Scents of springtime washed into the hall: grass, water and flowers. There was the faint echo of a woman’s exultant cry of freedom and a man’s cry of anger.
