The two pilots stared through the windscreen in front of them, out into the blackness of space, straining their eyes for any signs of the object. Finally, a small dot appeared in the distance, and then gradually grew larger and larger as it neared. “I’ll get the girls to turn the music off,” said Jacqui. “Good idea,” said Dan. * The spacecraft was vast, filling nearly their entire view when it finally came to a halt several hundred metres away.
