TAMARA: I stumble out into the narrow hallway, my bare feet hitting the cold floor as the smell of gunpowder begins to seep into my nostrils. “Marco!” I scream, my voice cracking with a terror I’ve never known. “Marco, where are you?” I pray he is just playing with his guns or something, but deep down I know something has gone terribly wrong. The boat rocks violently, as if something has slammed into the hull. I spin around, searching for an exit, when I hear something metallic rolling across the carpet behind me. I turn just in time to see a small canister skidding to a halt. Before I can run, it erupts with a violent hiss. Thick, acrid white smoke billows upward, filling the corridor in seconds.
