RAVEN: I step out of the car slowly, and Dante pulls me into a hug. I expect him to shout, but he does not. Tamara gets out of the car too, shutting the door. “Good evening, Father,” she says to him. Then she attempts to walk away. “Wait,” Dante calls out to her, and she pauses. “I made arrangements for you to leave the country this week. I figured you will need a reset after all that has happened.” She glares at him with her drawn-down face before muttering an okay. Then she turns away and walks into the house. Dante lets out a sigh, tucking his hands into his pockets. “I guess I’ll have to wait for her to come around.” I look at him with guilt pressing down on my chest.
