Ryan's POV
"Sir, are you sure you want to leave Ms. Everson right there? It is raining." My driver asked.
"I pay you to take me where I need to go not ask questions." I snapped.
"Yes, you do Sir. Where now?" He looked in the mirror meeting my eye.
"To Lindsay's."
"You haven't seen your sister in a while." He states.
"Yeah, there are some things I need to talk to her about." I answered, looking out the window.
.....
My sister answered the door juggling my niece in her arms. "Uncle Ry!" She yelled at me.
"Lia!" I yelled back, holding my arms out to grab her.
"How does she go from being a crying devil child to a perfect angel niece? I will never know." My sister muttered as she handed me her excited daughter.
"Where's Max?" I asked.
"He's been working late lately, so at work still." She frowned.
"Don't even think about it, Max would never." I warned.
"I know, I know. But you know how I get."
"He's not that type of guy. But anyways I came to discuss something with you." I said.
"Hm, I get the feeling it's about a girl?" She asks.
"Weird even thinking about it, but yes." I responded.
"What's going on?" She hands me a drink and I set Lia down on the floor, she runs away, singing to herself.
"I need to figure out how to get her attention, show her that I want something with her you know? She's so untrusting it's crazy." I sigh.
"She's probably been cheated on for one. And second what have you done so far?"
"Well I wooed her.."
"You had s*x with her?" She laughs.
"It was good s*x!" I say defensively.
"Ryan be serious here." She scolds.
"Well, I can't name anything off the top of my head. But I think she likes me, I've made her jealous before, she's so sexy when she's mad. But then she goes and gets a boyfriend, Cayden. Then they break up and she has s*x with me, I don't know maybe as revenge? Then she meets Aston Smith and it's like she's seeing God. I swear she's never looked at me like she looked at him. Them she got all angry earlier in the car when I was texting you because she thought you were a woman that I was doing something with." I run my hand through my hair, frustrated. "She's so confusing Lin."
"You really like this girl, huh?" She asks after a long pause.
"No Lindsay, I just came over here to rant about a random woman I don't like." I remark.
"Hey, no sarcastic tones with me or you get no help," She laughs. "But seriously like okay, what does she do for a job?"
"Well she works part time for the New York Times as a columnist and she gets these letters and she responds to them.." I trail off my eyes going wide. "I got it! I know what to do! Thanks so much Lin, I love you tell Lia I said goodbye, I have to go!" I run out of her front door sliding into the back seat of my car, instructing my driver to my house.
.....
The pen and paper on my desk were blank. I had been sitting at the desk for twenty minutes trying to figure out how to write another note to Jane from Cold Hearted Bastard.
I had been surprised when she responded to the first one, I would hope that she would at least read this one. If she responded maybe I would know how to show her how much I need her.
Need her in your bed or need her? My subconscious asked.
It took a while longer but suddenly the words were flowing freely from my hand, the paper being filled with letters.
Dear New York Opinion
It's been awhile. So I've basically moved on from the cheatung, I still haven't gotten in touch with my friend, but it's needed. I'm tired of talking to my sister about things I should have a male to talk to about.
Also some more news, I met a girl. Well when most people say met a girl they mean they are dating or something, well no I met her. And as much as I want her to be mine she's so complicated. I don't know how to show her I want her, I'm bad at expressing my feelings especially to her.
I get so possessive and jealous and every time I see her I swear I just want to lay with her in my bed forever and have her all to myself. I guess what I'm asking here is, if you were her what kind of special gesture would you want to show you I wanted you?
Sincerely, Cold Hearted Bastard
I signed the note and put it into an envelope with the address to be sent off. I couldn't wait to see her response.
I ignored the girly giddy feeling I had and went to put it in my mailbox, finishing off my night with a restless sleep.
