Emily pov

I dropped his order in the kitchen and left to attend to other customers, I could still feel his eyes on me I tried not to look at his direction but it was hard . After a while I got a call that the food was ready , I went to the kitchen to grab it , i hurriedly placed the food on the table without making eye contact, I tried to remind myself why I am here working and no emotions can get in my way . That’s what I have been telling myself all these years , I left his table after getting him his drink and went to the back to clearing tables

Jared pov

I was actually looking forward to seeing her again , I couldn’t take my eyes of her the way her body moved around the restaurant attending to other people I knew she could see me staring but I didn’t care but I was hurt when she refused to make eye contact with me I tried searching for those eyes but each time she avoided me. She brought my order and i ordered a bottle of wine just to keep her around it didn’t work I sense she was eager to get away from me , feeling a little disappointed I ate my food , after I was done I asked for the check hoping she will the one to come with it , to my disappointment again she didn’t show up instead a redhead came she was pretty but not as her , I intended to know why she didn’t come back so I asked

Jared: sorry but where is the waitress from earlier?

Waitress: oh she had an emergency so she left

Jared : oh okay here is the bill

After hearing she had an emergency I honestly wished it wasn’t serious I had paid the bill and left a huge tip for her and the waitress

May pov

I noticed the way Ems was uneasy around the customer so when she came to the back I asked her what’s wrong though she didn’t say much she asked me to take the bill to him , Ems has been my friend for long so I know when she is distressed and since she wasn’t going to talk I let it slid hoping to ask her later .

I took to the bill to the table but I noticed a slight disappointment on the gentleman’s face though he was to mask it I could see it clearly, he asked for Ems but I told him she had an emergency and left , he paid the bill and left a hug tip for Ems and I , I was shocked beyond words but I didn’t protest

I went to the back and told Ems everything she was surprised too then she told me everything, we concluded he was just a pervert and advised Ems to stay away from him .
