Birthday Party

Dove's POV

- Do you think we will manage to prepare everything by tonight? - my friend Eva asked me while still writing her homework.

- We organize a surprise party for Elyssa's birthday not a banquet for the royal family. - I replied reading one not so boring article for tomorrow's presentation.

- Yeah, you are right. What do you think about those twin brothers of hers. - she finally stopped writing and looked at me, curious to see my reaction. I wasn't very fond of any guys or at least not those who we were normally dealing with on daily basis. 

 - Never met them before. How am I supposed to have an opinion... - I didn't even bother lifting my eyes off the book. 

 - All the girls are in love with them... - she continued-  They are cute though, don't you think? 

 - I suppose. - what did I care about Elyssa's brothers? We've been friends for quite some time but we have never met Elyssa's brother so far. Isiah and Uriel would have been at the party considering how close their family was to each other. They were only three years older than us but they took two years for one and graduated school earlier than they were supposed to. Now they  were in their first year of university or at least that's what i have been told by Eva. I love Elyssa but I didn't really care that much about her famous and supposedly handsome brothers. Honestly, I just wanted to finish with all the homework so we can proceed to putting the final touches to her birthday party.My friends were my family especially after my parents never wanted me so they gave me for adoption on a very young age and now I was stuck with one very weird, creepy woman who despite her looks is a sweetheart. I would do anything to make the people I love happy, this time was no different. School was a second priority today. 

- Did you finish with your essay? It's time to go. - I told Eva. 

- Yep, let me just change.

Eva was my best friend, I could tell her anything. She was beautiful blond, blue eyes young lady with kind and caring personality. She was also very crazy and stubborn but her carefree personality made up for these quite well. We anonymously decided she was going to wear a dark blue dress with daisies on it. We were keeping it casual so I decided to wear dark jeans with a silver crop top, some matching sneakers and a little baby blue purse. 

When we arrived at Elyssa's home we were greeted by her mother from whom with got a permission to use the house for the party a few weeks ago, when we first decided to do it. It was 5pm so we had a few hours to prepare everything before the guest started to come. Her mom assured us that Elyssa wasn't coming back any time soon because she made her go shopping for their new house with her father, Isiah and Uriel. 

We started decorating the living room and after one and a half hour, we had a pleasant looking decor with lots of balloons flowers. I was happy with the outcome, now we were only waiting for the food, drinks and of course the cake to arrive. 

- Are you sure we made the right decision by letting Ben, Adam and Nate take care of important details such as the food...aaaand the cake? - I sat on the couch already exhausted.

- Ummmm, do you want an honest answer? - Eve looked at me with а sympathy and a bit of amusement in her eyes. I started to worry a little. I suppose she noticed it and continued - I think, they will give their best. They love Elyssa as much as we do. Don't worry everything will be just fine, she will love it! - Eva came to me and give me a warm hug. 

The door bell rang and I went to open it. The boys have come right on time because it was almost 8pm, guest would have started arriving within half an hour or so. 

- Heyyy, you guyyyys!! - I greeted them with a big grin on my face. I was so happy to see them. They were my heroes, whatever happened I knew they will be there to help me. 

- Hey, Dove! Eva! Can you two give us a hand, I know we are guys but these things are heavy! - Adam was caring a few boxes of drinks alone while the other two had only a few not so heavy bags in their hands. I and Eve picked one box each and brought them to the kitchen counter. 

Now, when we were all here it was time to do the final touches. Most importantly, hide the cake and put some food and drink here and there so the guest didn't have to ask all the time if they could have something to eat or drink... 

The door bell rang again and this time Adam went to open it. Guests were already coming and after twenty more minutes they were all chatting lively, everybody expecting the birthday girl. 

- Dove, would Elyssa's sexy brothers be here tonight? - one blond girl with gorgeous figure asked me while looking at the mirror , fixing her hair. Well, apparently some were more excited for the birthday girl's family members. I didn't like Chloe one bit since the moment i met her, but she was Ben's side chick, or friend with benefits or whatever they were so of course she was invited. 

- Chloe, honey, you better stop babbling about other guys and go see Ben. - I gave her a fake smile. She wasn't happy from my comment but thankfully she didn't have time to respond because a car pull in the driveway. They were here!
