KAYLEE It felt strange to be back in my apartment. Familiar yet not so familiar after weeks away. Although, the weeks hadn’t changed anything in my absence. It was rather unnerving how much the apartment looked exactly the same way it had the day I took Zeke from the hospital and left. Almost as though time had stood still and waited for our return.
