Ellen Every part of me hurts as I cradle Christian’s lifeless body in my arms, his blood staining my clothes and hands. His once warm and vibrant skin now feels cold and foreign as I hold him close to me. The scent of iron and damp earth fills the air, and I sob loudly. It feels like my entire world has shattered into a thousand pieces now that my mate is gone. “Look at what you’ve done!” I scream through hysterical sobs, glaring at Claire. “He wasn’t a monster!
