Willow It’s dark when I’m done reading at the library. The sun has disappeared, and most of the streetlights aren’t working. I’m walking, hurrying home in total darkness with eerie shadows on the pavement as I clutch my books tightly to my chest. I shouldn’t have stayed this late. Is Robin even going to be awake when I come home? I hear sudden laughter behind me, sending shivers down my spine. The sound is deep and guttural, a cruel mockery of joy.
