A Sky Painted Red Diana’s POV The hum of the jet should have been calming. Private cabin. Soft leather seats. Dim lights. Cameron seated beside me with one hand wrapped gently around mine the other scrolling silently through an encrypted file Gina had sent before takeoff. Everything should’ve felt safe. But I couldn’t breathe. The sky outside our window was just beginning to warm with light an eerie shade of red that bled into soft gray.
