Was it over.. The elevator jolted to a sudden stop, and my stomach dropped with it. My breath hitched, my body going rigid as the air around me shifted into an unsettling silence. The lights came on again but only for a brief moment. The overhead lights flickered twice before shutting off completely, plunging me into a pitch-black void. For a second, I couldn’t move.
