Lindsey's POV: It was the first time in ages, that I had slept this good. I woke with a smile on my face, and turned to look at the boy sleeping next to me. Except... He wasn't there. Where was he? I glanced at the clock and I saw that it was already 1 in the afternoon. My eyes went as big as marbles. How did I sleep for so long? And how come he did not wake me to go make breakfast for him? I climbed out of bed, and went downstairs. The most delicious smell hit my nose. Brunch. Food. I was starving, but I did not want to over eat. I am fat, therefor I must eat only his scraps. Sadness suddenly took over at the thought of me eating scraps again. With a loud sigh, I descended the stairs and walked towards the kitchen. Strange, it was not him who was cooking. It was a girl. She had beautiful black hair, and a long, thin figure. She looks like a model. Why would Marco like me, if there are such beautiful model girls for him to date? The girl turned around and she had a huge smile on her face. She looked me up and down and gestured for me to come sit down. She had green eyes and pearly white teeth. Then I remembered how I looked. I hate myself. "Hey there!" she greeted. "Hey.." "Are you hungry? I made brunch, and I suggest we eat now before the boys come and munch everything down." she said while laughing. I giggled. This girl seems nice. I think I may actually learn to start liking her. "Just a little bit for me please." "What? Are you not hungry?" she asked, sadness in her eyes. "I am starving, but I do not want to eat that much." "We are both girls, we both want great figures. So why don't we make a deal?" "What kind of deal?" I asked nervously. "I will eat a full plate of food, if you eat only halve of yours. How does that sound? This way, you don't have to worry about you becoming fat, only about me looking like a hippo afterwards!" I laughed. "Deal." She put my plate of food in front of me. Damn, this looks delicious. My stomach growled. I started eating. Within minutes I was done. I looked over at the girl. She was eating up every single piece. Does she not care about getting fat? "You eat a lot. Are you not worried about getting fat?" I asked, curiously. "Of course I am. But there are other, healthier ways to lose fat than to starve yourself." "Like?" "For instance, we could go on a morning run, go gym, eat healthier but still a full plate, or you could cut back on sugar." "I never had the chance of exercising or eating sweets..." I admitted. "Well, I think it is about time we change that." "I don't know..." "Please! I need an exercising buddy. All the girls here are to chicken to go on a run with me." "Alright, alright. But I do not have clothes..." "No problem" she said while holding Marco's credit card. "Let's go shopping!" she said excitedly. Will Marco be okay with this? Of course he will. I mean, how else did she get that card? Well, there is only one way to find out if he is going to punish me or not... After I had showered, we went shopping. This was the first time that I had stepped into a car, and it was scary. Everything zoomed past so fast. After 10 minutes, we stopped at the nearest mall. "Do not worry. This Mall is still in our pack boundaries." I gave a sigh of relief. That is great news because now I don't have to worry about Dimitri getting me again. We started walking and within minutes, we both carried almost 5 bags. EACH. I must admit, this is actually fun. I laughed a lot, we shopped a lot, and she even made me try this new healthy smoothie. I really enjoyed my time. I was starting to feel more relaxed, and to creep out of my shell. I bought a lot of stuff. Sammy, that was her name, even made me buy lingerie. Like why would I need that? Anyway, we bought clothes, toiletries, snacks, healthy smoothies, decorations and literally everything that a girl could need. We even went to go do our nails and hair. I got pink unicorn nails, and I got light pink highlights in my blonde hair. After hours and hours of shopping, we went back to the house. Before I could even open the car door, Marco came out of the house. "Where were you girls?" he asked. "Shopping." Sammy replied. "I love what you did to your hair and nails, Lindsey." he said. "Thanks. I was going after Unicorn colors. I really love unicorns." I said while giggling. They both laughed. "You're cute. I like you." said a new guy I did not know. He walked towards Sammy, and pulled her in. He gave her a kiss. They giggled. I looked away, not knowing If I was allowed to look or not. "This is my mate, Daniel." Sammy said. "Nice to meet you." he said while taking my hand and kissing it. I heard a growl beside me. It was Marco. 'Mine." he growled. I couldn't help it, but I blushed. "Hey mate, there is no need to get jealous, I already found my mate." Daniel said to Marco. "Baby, would you mind taking my bags up to our room?" Sammy asked. "Why me?" Daniel asked her. "You could just get lucky tonight." she flirted. A split second later, Daniel had all her bags and was running towards their room. I couldn't help but laugh. I like him. I looked at Sammy, and she gave me wink. She wanted me to do the same. I took a deep breath, and turned to Marco. "Marco baby" I said with my most flirtatious voice. "No." I took a step closer, and put my arms on his muscles. "Baby, please." and while I said that, I moved my hands up and down his arms. He took a huge breath, as if he was trying to hold himself in. I stood on my tippy toes and kissed his nose. He ran to the car, took the bags, and ran back upstairs. Sammy and I started laughing. Boys. I went upstairs, to find the bags placed neatly on the bed, and Marco in the shower. I started unpacking each bag. I moved to his closet. Where was I going to put my clothes? While I was deep in thought about where I was going to place my newly purchased clothes, Marco sneaked up behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist, and I froze. Then he put his head in my neck, and I could feel his warm breath. I relaxed. He took one look at my situation and said: "Take as much space as you need." while kissing my ear. I smiled. He made me feel loved, and protected. I wasn't scared anymore. Each hour, I learned that I could start trusting these people. That they would not hurt me. And I was happy for once. For once in my life, I wasn't scared of being punished. I was getting stronger by the second, and more fearless.
