The girl

I had a dream. A dream of the most beautiful girl ever. She was extremely young, almost 3 years old. She held the eyes of a future Alpha. She was playing in a field full of yellow flowers. Her blonde hair swaying in the wind, her laugh echoing through the air and her eyes sparkling with love. Suddenly, she froze. She turned to look at a wolf. The wolf was big, Black and had red eyes. The girl started running, screaming and crying for she knew he was not part of her pack. The wolf was too fast for her, and he snatched her. I woke with a start. I did not know why I was having these weird dreams. Every night it was about the same girl, but something different happened each time.

My name is Marco and I am the Alpha of The Blood Moon pack. I turned 18 a few weeks ago, and since my ceremony I received these weird dreams. It was making me restless. I climbed out of my bed and went to take a shower. After I was done scrubbing away the dirt, I went to my office to do some paper work. I sat down in my office chair and took out a pen. I hated doing paper work. It’s always so boring.

After a few minutes my wolf, Luke, became restless. I had this feeling in my stomach that something terrible, and slightly good, was going to happen. I kept seeing the girl from my dreams, running and screaming. I shook my head and tried to concentrate again. The girl popped up once again inside my memories. Except… this time she’s older. She had fear in her eyes and was pushed up against a filthy wall in the dungeon. I threw all the papers off my desk and went for a run to clear my head.

Outside, I started to shift. I felt my bones braking and rearranging. I felt my nose grow and sharp teeth form in my mouth. After a few seconds, I was standing in my wolf form. I had pitch black fur with red eyes, which indicated that I was an Alpha.

I took off towards the forest, but quickly stopped as I felt someone trespass onto my territory. I started running at high speed. When I reached the border, I smelt it. The most amazing scent filled my nose. Strawberries and mint.

I started running after her and easily caught up. I tackled her from behind and stood over her pinning down her front paws. I looked into her eyes. It was red, but it contained fear. She didn’t try to fight back so I leaned down and licked her nose. She flinched and turned her head away. It broke my heart.

I climbed off her and stood a bit back. She stood up and instead off running away or walking towards me, she bowed. Why was she bowing? An Alpha never bows to another. I shifted back to my human form. She took a step back in fear. I saw her eyes checking me out, filled with lust, right before the lust vanished and fear replaced it.

"Why don't you shift back Darling?" I asked her.

She shook her head, and barred her teeth. She started growling at me, and I did not know why. She took a step forward and her red eyes received a golden glint. She started sprinting towards me, but I stood my ground. I was going to show her that I did not want to hurt her. Instead of attacking me, she jumped over me and tackled my Beta. She was easily defeated and my Beta, Louis, stood over her. I was getting angry. She was MY mate.

"Get off her!" I growled.

"She is a rogue!" Louis mind linked me.

"She is my mate you dumb ass!"

He quickly jumped off her. I rushed to my mate's side and I saw that she was unconscious. I picked her up and was shocked to find that she was extremely light. I took her to the pack hospital. When I barged through the door, everyone looked at me in surprise. Doctors immediately rushed towards me. They tried to take her off me, but I did not want to let go.

"Alpha, you will have to let her go so I can examine her." said the pack doctor.

"No, I am not leaving her!" I growled.

"Fine, fine. Just put her on the bed and then you can still stay by her side." the doctor suggested.

I gently put her down. She tried to protect me, even when she knew that she had no chance of winning. I smiled to myself. Stupid Louis. The doctor injected her with a purple substance which forced her to shift back. I was shocked beyond belief when I saw her. She was so thin that her ribs showed. She was also covered in mud, her hair was messy and she had scars all over her fragile body. I punched the wall and growled.

"Get the Alpha out of here!" I heard someone yell.

I was grabbed and forced out of the room. I was so angry that I did not even fight back. The door shut in front of my face, and I was left alone in the hall, with only my anger to accommodate me.
