The Alphas Mistakes

I did not recognize the face that stared back at me. It's eyes piercing me with the searing sting of the seething hatred that shined within them. The way they burned into me hurt to return his gaze, but I found it impossible to turn away. Suddenly, I was startled by my door being ripped open with ridiculous force. The biggest wolf I had ever laid my eyes on was standing at my door, and I was utterly terrified. "who the hell is this guy and what did we do to get on his bad side?" Jade hissed in my head, sounding irritated that this little rendezvous had ruined our plan for a nap. Instantly I felt searing pain through my head as this mountainous man gripped my hair by the handful and violently dragged me from my car. My eyes darted around for help, but no one was there to save me. Stuffing me into the backseat next to another insanely large man, my captor squeezed in after me, pinning me between the two mountains of man. Opening my mouth in protest, duct tape was quickly pressed over my lips preventing me from getting the words out. It suddenly dawned on me that I, daughter of the Alpha, was being kidnapped. The ride was silent and long. I had no idea where we were going, just that we were headed to the very outskirts of our town. The abandoned housing district came into view, and I became more terrified. No one lived out here, so there was no one to come to my rescue from whatever these men had planned. Just perfect. We pulled up to the last house at the end of a dead-end street deep within the neighborhood. A gruff voice spoke from outside the vehicle somewhere out of eyesight. "Take her to the basement. We'll see if daddy will be more willing to re-negotiate when he realizes his precious little princess is not going to make it home for dinner." spoke the gruff voice. Next thing I knew, I was being dragged once again. I could feel the patches of hair tearing at the scalp. This time, I was placed in a chair in the middle of a damp, dark basement. The air smelled musty with a strong presence of mildew. I couldn't make out much in the room, but I could feel eyes on me from the shadows. That changed rather quickly as an unnecessarily bright light was shoved in my face. "Ow okay, that is a little dramatic ya think" quipped jade in my head. As if my head didn't hurt enough from the violent tearing of my hair, the light only added to the quickly building migraine. "Hold her" barked one of the men from the shadows. Suddenly, my hands grasped my arms tightly, pressing me back hard on the chair. The man barking orders appeared before me with a rope dangling from his hands. He made short work of tying me to the chair. I groaned at the tightness of the ropes as they bit into my flesh. This is clearly going to be a bad time for me. I can only imagine what horrors they have planned for me, considering they've been fairly violent so far. "I imagine you have some questions, little princess. Like why are you here, and what's going to happen to you? Well, you should probably ask Daddy about those questions, but I'm feeling generous so I'll let you ask me. Remove the tape." The tape was ripped away violently, taking with it skin from both my cheeks and my lips. Leaving a raw painful burning feeling across my mouth and face. My wolf fussed in head, feeling angry and hurt by the rough treatment. She told me to be strong and fierce, not to let them break me down. "Well, I certainly don't know what my i***t father did to piss off the likes of you, but considering he is who he is, I'm sure it wasn't that hard. His list of people who hate him is definitely not short, but don't get it twisted asshole. I'm at the top of his hate parade, and you aren't going to knock me off that spot, so if you want a piece of him, get in line and leave me the hell out of it. His problems have nothing to do with me!" I spat at him with a venomous tone in my voice. He seemed rather taken aback at my response. Maybe I came off as threatening. At least I could only hope as much. I needed him to fear me or at least believe he'd made a mistake in kidnapping me. I highly doubt my father will even know where I am, let alone come for me, given his current distaste for my extra-curricular activities. "Well, I see you aren't very pleased with him either, so maybe this will be easier than I thought it would be. Here's the deal princess, your daddy took something of ours, and we want it back. You see, our pack is known for crafting the most effective healing potions in existence. Capable of healing even the deadliest wounds in a matter of hours. We sell these potions to other packs, in moderation, of course. But your stupid father betrayed our trust and stole the recipe we used to craft the medicine. That recipe was handed down in our families for generations, tinkered with and improved on over the decades. Your greedy bastard of a father didn't want to pay our prices for the safety of his pack, so he stole the recipe for himself. And you, my sweet, are going to help us get it back." The room filled with laughter, my laughter. The faces of the wolves around me twisted up both in shock and confusion. "First of all, what gives you the idea I'd want to help you? You kidnaped me on my way home from school, ripped out my hair, and tied me to a chair for Christ's sake. Not to mention the ripped skin from your aggressive method of removing the tape. The last thing I want to do right now is help you, but if you had asked nicely in the first place, I would have happily gotten your little recipe back for you. Now? I couldn't be less interested. Besides, what makes you think he hasn't already made a copy for himself hmm?" "Simple," he growls in obvious displeasure at my unwillingness to cooperate, "the recipe is locked inside a special box, and while I'm sure he has his best people working out how to crack into the safe, it simply won't work. To open the box he needs a drop of blood from a direct descendant of the moon goddess, or the goddess herself. And that my sweet is simply not possible, because the only direct descendant of the moon goddess alive today, is you." Jade suddenly pricked up her ears, as if something clicked for her, but did not yet make sense to me. "Me? I'm not a direct descendant. You literally know my father. What do you mean?" I begged with curiosity. I had always looked like a modern-day carbon copy of the goddess, but I couldn't be a direct descendant. My bloodline was too polluted. " Oh please, everyone knows the story of a baby girl born out of the prayers to the moon goddess. Your parents could not conceive a child. They tried for years. So one day, they went to the temple of the moon goddess and begged at her tomb for a child to carry on their good name and rule the pack. An alpha. Boy were they surprised to find out the next day she, your mother, was with the child. Without any consumption on their part. When you were born, they were confused, as they'd prayed for an alpha but got you instead. However, you looked exactly like the goddess, so they believed you were meant to lead them to the rightful heir." My head started spinning, but not from the headache. My parents weren't my parents? And the moon goddess was my mother?! Jade shook her head no, but I didn't understand why she disagreed with the facts before her. Something told me there was more to this story, but I didn't have time to focus on that. "Okay, none of that makes any sense. And you are clearly crazy. Soooo, what do you say we get this show on the road and call up good old daddy and tell him where I am and to bring the recipe with, if he wants me back so I can go the f**k home!" "Now that's more like it, make the call." Before I knew it, tires were squealing up outside and I heard what sounded like an all-out war break out. What the hell was going on now?!
