The Distance Challenge

537 Words
It had been a few weeks since Nad and Ars started dating, and things were going smoothly. They were constantly chatting, calling, and video calling each other despite the distance. But one day, Nad received a job offer in a different country. She was thrilled about the opportunity but also worried about what it would mean for her and Ars' relationship. Nad: Ars, I have some news. Ars: What's up, Nad? Nad: I got a job offer in another country. Ars: Really? That's great news, Nad! Nad: Yes, but it's also challenging. It means we'll be apart for a while. Ars: How long will you be away? Nad: It's a one-year contract, but there's a possibility of an extension. Ars: I see. Well, I'm happy for you, Nad. We'll make it work. Nad: I hope so. I don't want to lose you, Ars. Ars: You won't lose me, Nad. We'll make this work. We'll talk every day, and I'll come visit you whenever I can. Nad: Thank you, Ars. You're the best. Ars: You're the best, Nad. I'll support you no matter what. Despite their optimistic conversation, Nad couldn't help but feel anxious about the distance between them. She was worried about missing out on the little things, like holding hands or going on dates. Ars, on the other hand, was confident in their relationship and reassured Nad that they could overcome the distance. A few days later, Nad's flight was booked, and she was ready to leave for her new job. Nad: Ars, I'm leaving tomorrow. Ars: I know, Nad. I'm going to miss you. Nad: I'm going to miss you too, Ars. But we'll still talk every day, right? Ars: Of course, Nad. I'll call you every day. Nad: Thank you, Ars. I love you. Ars: I love you too, Nad. Nad's new job was exciting, and she was learning a lot, but she couldn't help but feel lonely without Ars by her side. They talked every day, but it wasn't the same as having him there with her. Nad missed Ars' hugs and his comforting presence. One day, when Nad was feeling particularly down, Ars surprised her with a video call. Nad: Ars, what are you doing here? Ars: I missed you, Nad. I couldn't wait to see your face. Nad: I missed you too, Ars. How did you get the time off? Ars: I took a few days off from work. I wanted to come and see you. Nad: That's so sweet, Ars. I'm so happy to see you. Ars: Me too, Nad. I have a surprise for you. Nad: What surprise? Ars: Close your eyes. Nad closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, she saw Ars standing in front of her with a bouquet of flowers. Nad: Oh, Ars, you shouldn't have. Ars: I wanted to, Nad. I wanted to see you smile. Nad: You always make me smile, Ars. Ars: That's my goal, Nad. I want to make you happy. Nad and Ars spent the next few days exploring the city, enjoying each other's company, and making the most of their time together. The distance was still a challenge, but they were both committed to making their relationship work.
