After conversing with Miles for some more time, Miranda came out of the room. I tried to talk to her but she glared at me.
“I believe Miles knows the way to a guest room.” She muttered and I glanced at Miles, nodding him to show her the way. He nodded, silently.
“The only reason I’m letting you stay next to her is that she asked me to and she is okay with it or I would’ve never let you go inside even if you are her husband.” She muttered and walked away.
I felt helpless that I couldn’t have a retort to everyone who kept saying things to me.
“Don’t take it to heart. They are all just concerned about Emerald’s condition.” Miles coaxed and I chuckled in response.
